Here is some of the poetry i have written
You run your fingers through my hair
With great gentleness and care
You hold my hand walking down the street
Paying no attention to who we meet
You say “sweetie” and “lovely” when you’re happy
To make yourself sound sappy.
You even say you love me
To make me see
So please forgive me when I ask
Is this real?
And then you say that’s the deal
Show me you mean these things
And make my heart lift on glittering wings
Tell me you will never leave,
So my mind will not act like a sieve.
Hold me tight and don’t let go,
Just make it so,
When we part I will know,
What it feels like to be loved
